To get past it,
you have to
move through it

Whether you’re dealing with the after effects of trauma, anger, aggression, anxiety, mood instability, relationship difficulties, infidelity, suicidality, self-harm, or overusing substances, there is help. You can process emotional pain to achieve greater mental and emotional well-being.

Many therapists simply listen and ask the same questions in every session, every week, for years. In our practice, clients set clear goals and we work together to achieve them, with the end result of graduating from therapy living a more meaningful life!

Our approach

At Moving Through It, our goal as therapists is to make ourselves obsolete – partnering with clients as you do the hard work, learn difficult skills, and ultimately reach a point of self-sufficiency and confidence so that we’re no longer necessary. We will ask difficult questions, listen, and empower you so that you can create the life that you want to live.

Evidence based

We use the research to inform our treatment recommendations and interventions. As a field, we know what helps people live their lives more fully.

Trauma informed

All our clinicians have expertise in trauma and are sensitive to these concerns. It is important to us that therapy happens on your terms, that you are the one with agency and autonomy

Personalized

We start with a thorough assessment of your concerns, needs, and goals and identify whether there is a mental health diagnosis that best explains what you’re dealing with. Therapist and client decide together on a treatment plan that is the best fit for your needs, informed by the research literature.

Queer and Trans affirming

Our staff are firm in their commitment to providing LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare.
